Managing the Object Oriented Development Process

Description

Object technology fundamentally changes the software development process.  This two day seminar teaches managers, architects and senior engineers the basic techniques used to manage object oriented development projects.   The course covers several issues that a company will face when transitioning to object technology, and methods for resolving these issues.  Throughout the course, the ways in which the OO development cycle can be used to reduce the risks associated with a project are emphasized.

Management decision making throughout the object oriented life cycle is emphasized.  Managers are shown how to develop and control a schedule for an object oriented project.   Metrics for measuring progress and evaluating the development process are presented and discussed.  Several common management problems that can cause an object oriented project to fail are presented.  Finally, the course reviews case studies showing good and bad object oriented management processes.
