This 5 day course combines the material in our Object Oriented Analysis and Object Oriented Design courses.  Students learn the techniques, process and notation used in developing Object Oriented applications. 

The lectures first describe the Object Oriented Analysis process. Students are given detailed explanations on finding objects, and on building each of the three models developed during the analysis phase.  Each lecture is re-enforced with a case study.  

The lectures on Object Oriented Design highlight the transformations that are necessary to turn the descriptive analysis models into computational models, which can then be coded. Topics include Package development, designing a Class interface, and designing the internals of a Class.  Special emphasis is placed on making Classes and Packages that are reusable and testable.

Each lecture includes numerous examples.  Class exercises are included in each lecture to give students experience working with the concepts and techniques.  The class exercises can be tailored to problems that require a database, problems that emphasize embedded control, problems that deal with a web based application, or problems that embody aspects of each.
